The Law Office of JUDr. PhDr. Oldřich Choděra was established on July 1, 1990, immediately after the Act No. 128/1990 Coll. took affect, which enabled private attorney practice.

On April 8, 2008, JUDr. PhDr. Oldřich Choděra was appointed counselor of the Czech Finance Minister, Ing. Miroslav Kalousek. He focused on issues related to the legislative board of the government and intricate legal cases, all of which involve the Ministry of Finance.

On May 16, 2008, JUDr. PhDr. Oldřich Choděra was appointed a member of a special committee of the Minister of Finance, which prepared decisions on expositions filed against the ruling of the Ministry of Finance in matters concerning the Act No. 202/1990 Coll. on lotteries and other similar games, in the wording of later regulations.
